Terms of use
Version 2026-09-23
Draft — to be reviewed and approved by Prodermis before launch.
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of Prodermis Academy (“the Academy”), a private online training library for medical professionals who are customers of Prodermis. The Academy is operated by [Prodermis legal entity name], a company registered in [country of registration] under company number [company number], whose registered office is at [registered address] (“Prodermis”, “we”, “us”).
By requesting access to the Academy or using it, you agree to these terms. When you request access, we record which version of these terms you agreed to.
2. Who may use the Academy
- The Academy is for qualified medical professionals — such as doctors, dentists and nurses — who have bought Prodermis products.
- You must hold a current licence or registration to practise, and give us accurate details, including your licence or registration number.
- The invoice you upload must be genuine and show a Prodermis purchase. Please remove payment details and information about other people that we do not need.
3. Requesting access
Your request is not reviewed until you have confirmed your email address. It is then checked by a person, not automatically: either the authorised Prodermis distributor for your country (or the distributor whose sign-up link you used), or Prodermis head office.
We may ask you for more information, and we may decline a request — for example if we cannot confirm the purchase or your professional status.
4. Length of access and renewal
- Approved access lasts 12 calendar months from the date of approval.
- From 30 days before your access ends, you can ask to renew it with new proof of a Prodermis purchase. Renewals are reviewed in the same way as first requests.
- If a renewal is approved before your current access ends, the new period starts when the current one ends, so you do not lose any remaining time. If your access has already ended, the new period starts on the date of approval.
- When your access ends, training stops being available straight away, including a video you are part-way through. You can still sign in to your account page.
5. Your account
- Your account is for you alone. Do not share your login details or let anyone else watch training through your account.
- Use a password of at least 12 characters that you do not use anywhere else, and keep it private.
- You can be signed in on one device at a time. Signing in on a new device signs you out of the previous one.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
6. Using the training
- The training is for your own professional education only.
- You must not download, record, screen-capture, copy, share, publish, sell or otherwise distribute any training material, in whole or in part, or help anyone else to do so.
- Each video shows a moving watermark with your email address. The player’s download, casting, AirPlay and picture-in-picture options are turned off.
- Do not try to get around these controls, the country restrictions described below, or any other security measure.
- The training supports, but does not replace, your own clinical judgement, each product’s instructions for use, and the laws and professional rules that apply where you practise. [clinical disclaimer wording to be confirmed by Prodermis’s legal and medical advisers]
7. Country restrictions
Some training is not available in every country, because products are approved differently from one market to another. Which training you can see depends on the country you registered with. For some training it also depends on the country you are connecting from: that training is withheld if either country is one where it may not be shown, or if no country is recorded for your account.
You must not use a VPN or any other means to get around these restrictions.
8. Suspension and ending of access
- Prodermis, or your distributor, may suspend your access if we reasonably believe you have broken these terms — for example by sharing your account or training material — or if the information or invoice you gave us turns out to be wrong.
- While your access is suspended you cannot watch training, but you can still sign in to your account page.
- If Prodermis stops working with your distributor, your access continues until its normal end date, and Prodermis head office becomes your contact.
9. Distributors
Prodermis works with authorised distributors in many countries. Your distributor may review your request, see your details and invoice, and be your first point of contact. The Academy itself is provided by Prodermis, and your distributor cannot change these terms.
10. Intellectual property
All training material — including videos, subtitles, text and images — belongs to Prodermis or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. You receive a personal, non-transferable right to view it through the Academy while your access lasts. No other rights are granted to you.
11. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Academy available, but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may add, change or remove training at any time.
We may update these terms. Each version has a version number, shown at the top of this page. [how and when doctors are told about changes, and what happens if they do not accept them]
12. Liability
[limitation of liability wording to be provided by Prodermis’s legal adviser]
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [governing law], and the courts of [jurisdiction] have jurisdiction over any dispute.
